BY BOOKING A SERVICE WITH CERAMIC PRO NEWARK YOU AGREE TO OUR STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS SET OUT HERE
BOOKINGS, PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
1.0 At the time of booking a deposit payment of 15% is required. This is made via credit/debit card in store or through our booking software. Deposits not received within a reasonable time will result in dates being offered to other clients.
1.1 You may amend the date/time up to 72hrs prior to your service, but the DEPOSIT IS FINAL and NON-REFUNDABLE. Your original scheduled date/time will be stated on the deposit invoice. Clients may choose to use their deposit towards a different service or upgrade service if they select to not move forward with the original service chosen. For this, 72hrs notice is required.
1.2 Payment of the balance due will be required on the day of completing the work. There are no exceptions to this. Payment can be made by credit/debit card or cash. Checks are not accepted.
1.3 Where work is being carried out to correct a problem caused by a third party, Ceramic Pro Newark respectfully requires that you make full payment upon completion of the work, and it is your responsibility to reclaim your costs from the third party.
1.4 If, as part of our service commitment, work is to be carried out by one of our carefully chosen partners (e.g., wheel refurbishment, paintless dent repair, etc.), we reserve the right to request partial or full payment for that part of the booking in advance.
1.4.1 There may be occasions where additional work is required beyond what was initially quoted, and couldn’t reasonably be identified or foreseen at the time of booking. For example, during paint correction, it may be found that more paint correction is required to reach the desired outcome as discussed at the time of booking. We will contact you immediately to discuss a resolution and approval for any changes to your service, but any additional costs shall be your responsibility, and Ceramic Pro Newark shall not be liable for these.
1.5 If your vehicle needs to leave our shop for external work to be carried out, you will be consulted for permission beforehand, and informed as to exactly where and when this will be happening. Your vehicle will remain fully and comprehensively insured by Ceramic Pro Newark throughout this time. By making a booking, you agree to the terms and conditions set out here.
1.6 Prices advertised on the site, social media counts, and online advertising do not account for market fluctuations and therefore should be used as a guideline. We aim to quote the prices advertised, but there will be occasions where this isn’t possible. Please ask for a free quote for services.
1.7 On the day the work is completed to your satisfaction, payment of the outstanding balance will be required in full. There are no exceptions to this. This can be made in cash, or using a debit or credit card.
1.8 If the work being carried out is in relation to an issue involving a third party who have agreed to cover costs, for example a car dealership having washed your car against your instruction and causing damage in the process, or a nearby worksite contaminating your car with a chemical fallout, we would require payment to be made in full by yourself, and it will be your responsibility to reclaim your costs from the third party or insurance company. An invoice will be supplied with a full breakdown of the works carried out.
VEHICLE TERMS
3.0 In all cases and at all times, we’re acting in the best interests of your car and will work with undivided care and attention to achieve the best result possible. In the rare occasion of a defect not being discovered pre booking, upon initial inspection, pre wash, post wash or after the detail itself Ceramic Pro Newark will not be held responsible or liable whatsoever. We will not be held responsible if work cannot be completed due to factory paint or previous repair work failing, undisclosed information, or factors that could not be reasonably foreseen or prevented.
3.1 PLEASE NOTE that many services we offer require a wet application or use of solutions to complete the service such as: window tint install, paint protection film install, and auto detailing. At all times, we aim to protect your vehicle from damage caused by wet or damp application/cleaning methods. When a client books an appointment, they are acknowledging that Ceramic Pro Newark does not accept fault for any damages occurred during the selected service and that is the client’s responsibility to research if their vehicle is able to safely receive services selected. Our technicians are professionally trained to take all precautions necessary to protect clients’ vehicles. In the event that is discovered that damage does occur to a client’s vehicle, and the correct steps were not taken during service to protect the vehicle, we will work with the client to come to a resolution. We are here to provide the best customer service possible.
INTERIOR DISCLAIMER
4.0 If your interior is heavily soiled with mud, pet hair, mold, vomit or blood, additional charges WILL apply. To avoid disappointment on the day of service we advise if you have any of the above, it is your responsibility to let us know immediately. We kindly ask if you can send a few select pictures before booking so that we can provide a fair estimate. If not, the price will be negotiated before any work commences.
4.1 Vehicles left with Ceramic Pro Newark will not be driven off the property without being discussed. However, vehicles will need to be maneuvered around our direct location. Whilst in our care, the vehicle will be fully comprehensively insured against theft or damage, underwritten by Liberty Mutual.
4.2 Where a customer vehicle is to be driven on the public road, it is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is safe and legal to do so. This includes tax and MOT where appropriate, tire condition, etc. If at the time of collection, a vehicle is in our opinion un-roadworthy, we reserve the right to refuse to drive it, and no refund of deposit will be due if the booking cannot go ahead as a result.
4.3 Ceramic Pro Newark will not be held responsible for faults that develop with the car, whilst in our care, that are unrelated to any work we have done. For example, air bag lights (where interior has not been removed) and engine light illumination. In these events, we will inform you as soon as possible.
4.4 Ceramic Pro Newark will not be held responsible if work cannot be completed due to previous repair work, undisclosed information, or factors that could not be reasonably foreseen or prevented. Ceramic Pro Newark will not be held responsible for any subsequent loss caused by work not completed within the originally agreed timescale, nor will you be liable for compensation.
4.5 Ceramic Pro Newark will take reasonable precaution to safeguard your vehicle from damage or theft.
GUARANTEE
5.0 Due to the nature of our work, we do not offer or imply any sort of guarantee or warranty above Ceramic Pro’s standard warranty program. We are happy to offer advice on how to care for your vehicle following a detail or service, but cannot be held responsible for your actions, or any subsequent damage caused to the finish, directly or indirectly by yourself (e.g. taking your vehicle through a car wash).
INSURANCE
6.0 As you would expect, we are fully insured for all aspects of our work, and are proud to work with Liberty Mutual to achieve this. Our policy covers theft, garage keepers, and personal liability.
General Liability Waiver
SCHEDULE & DEPOSIT
To confirm an appointment, clients must pay a 50% deposit. This non-refundable deposit secures your appointment and aligns necessary resources, materials, and equipment for your job. We allow one courtesy reschedule if 24 hours’ notice is given.
WINDOW FILM
・Drying Time After window film application, allow 3-5 days before rolling down or cleaning the windows. The f ilm will fully cure in 3-4 weeks, depending on weather conditions.
・Black Dotted Edges Most vehicles have black ceramic edges on side and rear windows. These ceramic edges, either straight or dotted, prevent the window film from fully adhering in these areas, resulting in a whitish-looking strip along the edge of the glass. This effect is unavoidable.
・Shade/Color Refunds are not available once a client has chosen and installed a specific film color or shade.
・Film, Badge, & Decal Removal Removing film, badges, and decals may damage paint, glass, or defrosters. By authorizing removal, the client acknowledges this risk, waives claims against CERAMIC PRO NEWARK, and agrees CERAMIC PRO NEWARK is not liable for any resulting damage.
・Imperfections We strive for perfection, but minor dust contamination or imperfections are inherent in every window film application. Pre-existing flaws, scratches, and metal deposits on glass may become more noticeable after tinting, especially on older vehicles.
・Windshield Film Installation Minor imperfections are present in all windshield installations and are more noticeable on the front windshield with a 99% tolerance. Do not apply decals or windshield accessories for 7 days postinstallation. There is no refund or warranty for the “rainbow effect” caused by polarized sunglasses.
・Delaware Law and Surrounding Areas Clients installing a VLT (visible light transmission) not approved by Delaware law, or the laws of any other state, release CERAMIC PRO NEWARK from all liability.
PAINT PROTECTION FILM (PPF)
・About Paint Protection Film Paint protection film (PPF)
is a 8-mil-thick layer designed to protect vehicle paint from chips, scratches, and swirl marks. PPF is warrantied for up to 12 years against yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering, and delamination. The warranty does not cover damage from accidents or objects impacting or penetrating the film.
・Drying Time
PPF takes 3-4 weeks to fully cure, depending on weather. Do not wash your vehicle for 5 days after installation. Vehicles should be inspected 1-2 weeks post-installation.
・Condition of Vehicle for Paint Protection Film Installation
The vehicle should be free of any paint protection coatings (e.g., ceramic coatings) that could interfere with PPF adhesion, causing issues like lifting or bubbling. PPF is intended for OEM factory paint only. Clients release CERAMIC PRO NEWARK from warranty or damage claims if PPF is applied over a non-OEM paint surface.
・Paint Surface
Paint may lift on repainted or improperly prepped OEM panels. By authorizing installation, the client acknowledges this risk, waives claims against CERAMIC PRO NEWARK, and agrees CERAMIC PRO NEWARK is not liable for such damage.
・Paint Chips
PPF protects against future paint chip damage but will appear as contamination if applied over existing paint chips due to uneven surfaces. We do not recommend touch-ups on small paint chips for aesthetic reasons.
・Installation
All PPF kits are pre-cut using software, stopping short of edges, badges, washers, and similar parts. Clients understand PPF is a sacrificial layer, not completely invisible or matte. Custom-fit or bulk installations are available for an additional fee.・Exposed Edges and Seams While we aim to wrap all edges, some may remain exposed. Over time, debris can accumulate, particularly on white or light-colored vehicles, and will be more noticeable with partial installations. A ceramic coating is recommended to reduce debris buildup. There is no warranty orreapplication for debris buildup.
・Headlights
Due to HID features and exterior coatings, we do not recommend PPF for headlights. By authorizing headlight film installation, clients acknowledge the risk, waive claims against CERAMIC PRO NEWARK, and agree that CERAMIC PRO NEWARK is not liable.
・Film, Badge, & Decal Removal
Removing film, badges, and decals may cause damage to paint, glass, or defrosters. By authorizing this service, clients acknowledge the risk, waive claims against CERAMIC PRO NEWARK, and agree that CERAMIC PRO NEWARK is not liable for any resulting damage. When removing badges, we recommend providing OEM replacements for optimal fit, finish, and adhesion.
・Imperfections
Minor imperfections like dust contamination, pre-existing flaws, scratches, and rock chips are inherent in every PPF installation. Some degree of “orange peel” texture is also normal. Older or used vehicles are more likely to exhibit imperfections due to age.
CERAMIC COATINGS
・Curing Time
Ceramic coatings take 10 days to fully cure and 4 hours to dry after the last application layer. Do not wash the vehicle until curing is complete. Hand washing is required afterward to maintain performance. Machine or tunnel car washes will void all warranties.
・Water Spots
Unfiltered water, especially in sunlight, can cause water spots. Clients understand that longer exposure to water spots makes them harder to remove. CERAMIC PRO NEWARK is not liable for water spot damage.
・Condition of Vehicle for Ceramic Coating
Paint correction is recommended for all new or used vehicles before ceramic coating. Clients who waive paint correction acknowledge that uncorrected areas will have less effective coating.・Film, Badge, & Decal Removal Removing film, badges, and decals may damage the substrate. By authorizing removal, clients acknowledge the risk, waive claims against CERAMIC PRO NEWARK, and agree that CERAMIC PRO NEWARK is not liable for damage.・Paint CorrectionPaint correction removes most light scratches, swirls, marring, and minor marks from the clear coat. Though we strive for perfection, some scratching, swirling, or minor marks may remain.
・Wet Sanding
Wet sanding removes the top layer of a vehicle’s clear coat. Due to associated risks, CERAMIC PRO NEWARK only uses wet sanding when the options are either wet sanding or repainting. CERAMIC PRO NEWARK assumes no responsibility for repairs if wet sanding causes damage. After wet sanding, a Ceramic Coating is recommended to replenish the clear coat.
・Ceramic Coating
Ceramic Coating, an SIO2 (Silicon Dioxide) ceramic coating, protects against UV rays and makes cleaning easier. Clients understand that Ceramic Coating is not scratch proof. Applying paint protection film on bumpers, hood, fenders, and mirrors is recommended to prevent rock chips.
・Windshield
Clients understand that weather conditions may affect the protection level and duration on windshield coatings. There is no warranty on windshield coating durability.
・Interior Coating
If liquid or substances get on the upholstery, clean promptly to prevent staining. There is no warranty for interior staining.
・Wheel Coating
Prompt cleaning of brake dust or road debris is recommended to prevent staining. Bare aluminum wheels are not recommended for coating, and no warranty is provided on them. Wheel and caliper coatings carry a 2-year warranty. Clients are responsible for re-torquing wheels to manufacturer specifications.
・Maintenance & Annual Inspections
Bi-weekly washing is recommended. Annual inspections are advised to ensure the coating is properly maintained.
GENERAL
Clients agree that CERAMIC PRO NEWARK may use photos of them and their property, with or without their name, for lawful purposes, including publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content. CERAMIC PRO NEWARK is not responsible for loss or damage to cars or items left in cars due to fire, theft, or other causes beyond our control. CERAMIC PRO NEWARK is not liable for direct or indirect damages to vehicles, operators, or passengers. By signing, I authorize the above services to be performed with necessary materials and grant permission for CERAMIC PRO NEWARK employees to operate the vehicle for pick-up or delivery purposes. An express mechanic’s lien is acknowledged on the vehicle to secure the service payment.
